Make sure u do it on the rocks,stir and magically it will turn green. Good ****! Whats the right way to store fine cognacs and champagne(Dom Perignon,Cristal,Remy Martin,Hennessy)?
ok well i have been buying fine cognac's, champagne, and spirits for about 3 years now and never stored them right. i normally had them on my shelf or a display case at work. i had a client come in a comment on y i didnt have them stored right. so i want to know whats the best way to do so. i just bought a case of dom perignon and a case of cristal. also i have a bottle of remy martin xo premier cru and a bottle of hennessy paradis extra that i bought 2 weeks ago. the remy and hennessy are opened and about half full. right now they are siting in my display case at work. i know thats not the best place for them. so does any 1 know the right conditions i should have them in. i normally by different ones about every month, so whats a general way to store ? i always have the 4 that i listed before so whats the right way to store them more specifically? like what temp, humidity, light, place, ect. i have asked the person i got them from but hes kinda out there, so i dont trust him

They should always be kept lying down so that fluid inside the bottle can keep the cork moist and prevent it from drying out (and letting air in around the shrunken dry cork) and always in the dark, as light and fluctuating temperature both spoil fine wine.
You sound like you have several thousands of dollars of fine wines, and an investment of just a few hundred to a thousand dollars should house and protect your collection. Does anyone here own a Hennessy Hammock?
If so, how do you like it?|||They are insane cool. I used to work at a therapeutic wilderness camp and about half the staff had them. I had one for a while, but I didn't have a rain fly for it so it didn't seem worth the effort to set up the hammock and a separate tarp. (I bought mine used without all the parts.) However when you have all the right pieces it is a lightweight (different weights depending on your needs, body weight, and how much you want to spend) self-contained shelter. Keeps you off the ground, out of the bugs, puddles, and gives you great circulation in warm weather. It's extremely well ventilated with good visibility due to its black mosquito netting which basically disappears when you peer through it.
The telltale of a Hennessey is that it looks like a little alien spacecraft. Also the velcro closure which looks like you would fall out but it closes automatically when you get in, due to simple physics of pulling the panels tight so they close. You also aren't laying directly on the slot with your full body weight, it's underneath your calf area.
Anyway. When you have all the right parts, they are a snap to set up, and they are really really comfortable...IF you like hammocks in the first place (which I always did). They can seem kind of claustrophobic and you have to get used to the motion, when you move the whole setup moves and instead of pushing off to get out, for example, you have to deal with the fact that the hammock "gives" to your motion.
None of my co-workers or I had any addons, other than the rainfly. They make a whole kit to winterize it which sounded wonderful, because the air underneath me always froze me out in colder weather and reluctantly I went to the ground.
Another really cool one is available from mosquitohammock.com, a private small company where the owner is more intimately involved with production. His name is Tom. A little more setup, a little heavier. But a lot cheaper, and roomier...and there is a sleeve in the bottom to put a mattress. This spreads it out a little and makes it not close in so much like a pea pod.
Other well-regarded hammocks are the Speer and the Clark, which are modelled after the military jungle hammock, boxy shaped, rather than pea-poddy. I would steer away from the Byer, it is very cheap and not well made for any continuous use, such as a through hike. Some of the other pea pod hammocks are great, I have run the gamut of different ones made of parachute nylon. Some have bug protection and others have accessories that you can buy to enclose the hammock with bug net.|||I enjoyed it when I slept in one but they aren't for everyone.|||Henessy Hammocks are by far the best sleeping accomodation for the outdoors that I have found. They are lightweight, and quick to set up and break down. They have water proof wraps that keep the ropes that keep it up in the air from dripping into the tent. You even have the option of using these to fill your waterbottles with clean rain water. I believe most of them come with a insulation slip. You can fill this with leaves or a space blanket which will reflect back your body head on cold nights. They compress very small so it takes up little room in your pack. You can put them just about anywhere which is cool. I've camped right down on a river bank before where it would have been impossible to sleep if your were in a tent. Another good thing about them is you have dry storage underneath it. I can't tell you how awesome and versatile these things really are. I can guarantee you will not be dissapointed if you purchase one.|||I bought the Hennessy Expedition 3 years ago and still love it.

Why didn't i get a hangover when i drank hennessy?
when i get drunk on beer i usually wake up the next day with a slight hangover but it goes away fairly quick, however i got drunk on hennessy and woke up fine, why?|||There is a great little explanation for what causes Hangovers as well as the cure on this video from manswers http://bit.ly/7buAhc. It basically points out that Hangovers are caused by the chemicals used to distill and preserve alcohol and their effects on the brain. Beer and malt beverages have a much higher content of these chemicals than Liquor does. And Wine even more so. Now to your question. Hennessy will never expire as long as the cork in the bottle is secure, not allowing any air to enter the bottle.
The longer you wait to open the bottle, the smoother the cognac will be to the pallet and the throat. The bottle you have should be ready to be uncorked and consumed.

I've done weight watchers and I believe as long as you add the points the Hennessy has in it you should be able to have it in moderation.|||Most alcohols are in the points books for weight watchers (I think one shot equals two or three points, if I remember correctly) so... just factor it in to your daily points like any other food.
The only negative thing is that alcohol slows your metabolism naturally. So if you drink and then eat a big meal... you're not going to metabolize it at your normal rate. In other words, it will end up as more fat than it would have without the alcohol.

You just have to ride it out, but on the flip side, it is very dangerous to combine alcohol which is a depressant with Red bull Which is a stimulant. This can cause your blood to flow forwards and backwards which could cause blood clots. About the same as a new bottle. Distilled spirits do not age in the bottle like wine. Unless the bottle is special it is not worth much more.

It is a complex brandy, which is considered to be very high quality, but that isnt the same as nice, or easy to drink. Most people would probably not enjoy expensive hennessy much more than any decent brandy, but of course it is many times more expensive -- so for you and me, its a waste of money. How long does Hennessy etc stay good for after opening? ?
how logn does it stay fresh along with smirdoff and hypnotiq|||booze never goes bad as long as it is not exposed to extremes|||it never tasted good to me in the first place but i keep light liquors like vodka in the freezer and hypnotiq in the fridge. but i would say the hennesey should be good for at least a month|||Keep it in a dark place, like a cabinet, or the fridge or freezer. Keep it closed tight, and it should last for many years.

Believe me, i know.|||Henne is a very hardcore drink, Hypnotic is a fruity drink. i would recommand to put more Hypnotic then Henne, but it gives you that tropical flavor w/ a punch. I want to know how to a bbq sauce out of hennessy?
This tomato based sauce has a sweet yet tangy flavor from the bourbon. This is a great barbecue sauce for just about anything but is particularly good on beef.
Sweet Bourbon Sauce
INGREDIENTS:
3/4 cup ketchup
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup bourbon
2 tablespoon cider vinegar
2 tablespoon Dijon-style mustard
PREPARATION:
Combine all ingredients together in a medium bowl until well mixed.|||Carolina Border BBQ Sauce:
1 cup yellow mustard
1 cup whiskey or bourbon liquor (use Hennesy here)
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon white pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons butter
Mix together all ingredients except the soy sauce and the butter. Place in a saucepot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add soy sauce and butter and reduce for 10 minutes.
Yield: about 3 cups|||BBQ sauce is just a bunch of flavors thrown together. Hennessey will be a good addition to any recipe. Just throw some in. the alcohol will help make up for the lack of fat and enrich the flavor. What do you guys think? Anyone a bartender out there or know the recipe for this delicious drink?|||I worked part-time at a local bar from near where I am from in PA until about a month ago. We had a similar drink, except in place of the sprite, we used ginger ale. We also gave it a different name(Blue Bomb), but it pretty much had the exact same ingredients. The soda you use is up to you, so long as it is relatively clear. The Blue Curacao is an absolute must, as it is what gives it its signature color. But from what I see up above in your list, you have it pegged.

If i mix hennessy and coke and stick it in the freezer will it freeze?

Even if you are mixing 1/2 Coke and 1/2 Hennessy (80 proof /40% alc.), The resulting mixture would be only 20% alcohol by volume. 20% alcohol will always freeze, while the Hennessy by itself would not freeze. The only challenge here is possible separation.
If it was a big enough glass to fill, then the Cognac may have time to separate and rise to the top not freezing while the Coke did.
However, since Ice cubes are relatively small and don't take long to freeze, you can set the freezer to the coldest possible temp, wait 30 minutes, mix the Cognac and Coke and 1/2 hour later you will have your cubes.

Why isn't Hennessy Pure White sold in the US?
It is only sold in Europe and the Caribbean, how come it isn't sold in the US?|||Probably because Hennessy isn't pushing it in the US,(maybe they feel there is no market for it), or a US distributor hasn't caught on to it yet.

Do people usually get a cup or a shot of hennessy?
I usually drink a cup throughout a night or drink various shots...but I'm going to a bar tomorrow and I don't if i should tell them to give me a cup or a shot henny?|||Properly served Cognac is served in either a Brandy Snifter or a wine glass. The idea is to warm the Cognac with your hand by cradling the glass between the middle and ring fingers with the palm wrapped around the bowl. The warmed Cognac presents a much nicer nose than presented when unwarmed. Remember, all Cognac is Brandy but not all Brandy is Cognac.

Can you replace Hennessy with Remy Martin in the Incredible Hulk Drink?
i want to make the drink the Incredible Hulk in where you mix 3 parts Hpnotiq and 2 parts Hennessy, however i dont have Hennessy and dont want to purchase it since i already have a bottle of Remy Martin, since they are both cognac/brandi, would this make any difference in the taste (btw i never tried this drink or Hennessy either so i dont know how it tastes)

What are good drink combos for something with hennessy?
I agree with other people that Cognac shouldn't be mixed, but if are going to mix it with something then I guess I should suggest that you try it with lemonade! Its non offensive %26amp; light in flavour; basically it doesn't over power the cognac. How about some Indian tonic water? Simpler yet, why not an ice cube?!

Chill both the beverages before use. Add 3 parts Hypnotiq to the cocktail glass. Then add the two parts Hennessy cognac. The result is a green drink with a fruity bite|||try mixing hennesy and shirishi's|||Diet pop...regular pop can over power the taste with the he sugar=. But really nothing should be mixed with it ..just add the glass!|||While some people are about to tell you that cognac shouldn't be mixed, they're correct only in theory. Hennessy barely qualifies as cognac anyhow, so knock yourself out.
If, on the other hand, you'd like to drink with the big boys someday, have some room temp Remy Martin VSOP -- and add nothing to it.

Chill both the beverages before use. Add 3 parts Hypnotiq to the cocktail glass. Then add the two parts Hennessy cognac. How many times has 2pac used the word 'Hennessy'?
Lmao I'm not hating on 2pac I'm a huge fan but I just noticed he uses that word a ton, was it his favorite drink?|||yeah all you hear is hennessy it has to be his favorite|||I cant say it was his favorite drink but I know it was a very popular drink. So that made it possible for his music to be more easily relatable. Think of how crystal is now or mauby how the 40z used to be in the early 90's.|||haha listen to thug passion
How do you drink your Hennessy?

in the other glass get a double shot of hennesey so that the glass is on its side and put it in a warm water bath add about 5 ml of honey next flame the hennesey whilst continually turning the glass add a pinch of of cinnamon the hennesey should ignite causing a flame (looks cool in the dark) then transfer the hennesey to the other glass extinguish the flame and enjoy your warmed cognac and you can eat the fruit too.
or you could make a gunner which is 2 lime wedges 2 shots of cognac 1 part ginger ale and one part ginger beer.|||drink it straight up in shots.or u can mix with orange juice. or make margaritas with frozen juice and a blender and ice.|||try it straight or on the rocks, if you like it, continue.

How much is a 750ml bottle of Richard Hennessy on average? How about Paradis? I had the priveledge to sample both and was just wondering on the price. Also anyone know the price for a bottle of Loius XIII? Distributors have to sell their products to liquor stores before the product can be sold to the customers. If your friend is really buying a lot, he will probably get a really good deal.

What the big deal with Hennessy? Why is it a big deal?
I'm not that much of a drinker but I love Rum and I want to know what Hennessy taste like and what is it best to drink with? Can anyone describe the flavor.
