Is hennessy concidered a fine wine?

No.

Although cognacs are made from grapes (to correct the incorrect post from cafe au lait), it is really not considered a "wine" per se.

Wines fall into 3 categories: still, sparkling, and fortified. While cognac (and all brandy) is made from grapes, what sets it apart from wine is that it is distilled (that is, the wine is made and then distilled to give the beginnings of brandy). Also, fortified wines (the highest alcohol % of all the wines, as spirits are added to them...i.e. port, sherry, etc.) are usually capped at 20% abv (and cognacs are most often 40% abv).

No, Hennessey is just a brandy...kinda like ciroc, but without the aging in barrels.|||No, it is a liquor.|||NO! It's cognac!|||it's not considered wine at all, wine comes from grapes.|||no its a type of brandy (cognac)
