How to keep a healthy liver if you drink a lot of dark liqour like hennessy, remy martin,?

would clear achol be better or is it the same|||there is no way to have a healthy liver if you drink too much. clear or not. Sorry.|||stop the hard stuff

milk thistle improves your liver funtion|||alcohol is alcohol and any large amounts of it will damage your liver

some good advice? STOP DRINKING so much. remember, always in moderation.|||well first of all moderation... keep the alcohol consumption at a reasonable level..

then have a high vegetable and fruit diet... (fresh not frozen or canned...) then hydrate properly with proper juices and water... and try to keep the dairy down to a minimum... the liver doesn't like all that fatty materials.

remember the liver is the one doing all the work here so keep the fats down... (cholesterol and triglycerides are murder!)

and of course moderation...

(doesn't matter the type of alcohol... just don't over do it all of the time.)|||Take Milk Thistle herbal supplement if you absolutely have to drink. Not drinking at all is better.|||As everyone said alchol is toxic to the liver. If you must drink then look to what you like best that provides the lowest amount of alchol that makes you happy.

If it's 6 beers, vs 1 nice hennessy then the hennessy may be better choice.

My doc has suggested that vit E helps liver function.|||It doesn't matter if you drink a lot of wine, beer, dark or clear colored alcohol. If you want to have a healthy liver, and by you asking the question I believe you already know you drink too much to maintain a healthy liver, you need to limit your intake of alcohol...no matter what kind or color it is. All alcohol is the same...5 ounces of wine, one can of beer or a shot of whiskey or vodka...all three have the same amount of alcohol and they effect the liver the same way.|||It's all the same. and once it's broke, you can't fix it so make sure you get it right the first time (i.e., CUT BACK ALOT)
