What is an old bottle of Hennessy worth?

My mom has a old Hennessy bottle that's in a barrel. It still has the seal on it and has never been opened. Also has the tax id no. on it. Any thoughts???????|||never been open u say im gonna drink it.|||In October 1817 the future king Georges 6th of England,, who was a great connoisseur, ordered from Hennessy the “Very Superior Old Pale” V.S.O.P and it wasn’t until recently they changed from wooden containers, if you have this it is not worth much unless you can find a collector, unfortunately.

|||idk|||If it's one of the old blown glass bottles, it can be worth quite a bit. My father has a couple of then (now emptied) that are worth $300-$600 just for the bottle alone. I would go to their website or a reputable cognac dealer for more detailed info.|||It is only worth something if it is a 'collectible' bottle. Check with an antique dealer. As far as the Cognac itself, it does not age once it is put in the bottle, unlike wine. So the Cognac would not have any particular value other than retail.|||Unless it's a special bottle, about as much as a new bottle of Hennessy.
